Brief Introduction

The flotation machine refers to the mechanical equipment applied for ore beneficiation. It is also called flotator, which is the short form of the flotation machine. In the flotator, slurry is fully mixed with potions, and stirred powerfully to make air enter it. Some mineral particles float on the mineralized froth because of low density. The rest sink down, paving the way for later separation. There are many types of flotators for metal ore processing, and the popular type is the mechanical flotator.

Application

The flotation machine is mainly used for mineral separation of metal ores, such as the copper ore, zinc ore, lead ore, nickel ore, gold ore, etc. It can be also used for the rough concentration and selected concentration of ferrous metal ore and nonmetallic ore.

Working Principle

The impellers are driven through V-belt transmission, which brings centrifugal effect to form the negative pressure. On the one hand, the flotator inhales sufficient air to mix with the ore slurry; on the other hand it stirs ore slurry and mix with potions to form the mineralized froth. And then operators should adjust the height of flashboard to control the liquid level and scrape the useful forth by loam board. Under the centrifugal force of impellers, mixed coal slurry enters the mineralization zone and forms the mineralized forth. Slurry spreads evenly on the trough section and moves upward by the stator and baffle. After the mineralized froths gather more and more, the loam board scrapes them and they turn into clean coal foams. With the rotor moving slow, the selected particles are distributed into the 6 sorting rooms through the slurry distribution device. Weakly magnetic ore particles are held by the dental plate and move with the distribution ring. Under the gravity and slurry flow, nonmagnetic mineral particles go through the gap of dental plate, entering the tail-box below the distribution ring.

So it can reduce the impurities to a great extent.
