Location: Nigeria Customer: A quarry operator from Nigeria Application: producing aggregate for use in road base, concrete and asphalt from granite Details: The quarry operator would like to expand the scale of production, from the capacity of 60-80 t/h to 240-260 t/h.

Description

In his quarry, the operator produces aggregate through two stages of crushing, and a jaw crusher (600×900 mm, 24×36”) is used as the primary crusher, two jaw crushers (300×1300mm, 12×51”) as secondary crushing plant. In the market, the required sizes of aggregate are respectively 0~3/16” (stone dust), 3/16~1/2”, 1/2~3/4” and 3/4~1”. According to those requirements of size, the production is only at 60~70 t/h. So, current capacity of crushing plants is unable to meet the increasing demand on the aggregate production. In addition, it cannot meet the high standard on aggregate shape and size requirements. This operator contacts with our company and hope to expand his quarry production.

Solution Offered by Zenith Engineers

According to this his requirement on size and shape of aggregate, our company designs a three-stage crushing plant which consists of a jaw crusher (used as primary crusher, 900×1200mm, 36×48”), one cone crusher (standard type, used as secondary crusher, S51”), and one S51” cone crusher (short-head type) in the tertiary crushing section. According to this solution, the operator can get a capacity of 240~260tph of aggregate with the size at 0~3/16” (stone dust), 3/16~1/2”, 1/2~3/4” and 3/4~1”.
